All Real Property Rentals in Gilbert are Taxable
The Arizona Department of Revenue (AZDOR) administers the transaction privilege tax for the Town of Gilbert; this means that you as a property owner will report and pay your Town of Gilbert transaction privilege tax to the AZDOR. Taxes can either be included in your overall price, or charged to your renter as a separate line item. If you use a property management company (PMC) you still need your own TPT (Sales) Tax license with AZDOR.
All residential properties being used as a rental in the Town of Gilbert need to be registered with Maricopa County as a rental.

Neighbor 2 Neighbor
Help a neighbor in need! Neighbor 2 Neighbor (N2N) has provided a way for Gilbert residents to help support neighbors in need through a monthly utility bill donation. 100% of funds donated are distributed to non-profit agencies that provide assistance to Gilbert's low-income families, individuals, disabled, seniors and at-risk youth.
UTILITY SERVICE DEPOSIT
New accounts with the Town of Gilbert MAY BE ASSESSED the minimum deposit indicated below and a higher deposit could be required based on prior payment history. The deposit will be charged on the first bill unless the previous history requires that we obtain the deposit prior to activating the account.
Residential-Refuse Accounts have a mandatory deposit.
Deposits will credit back to the utility account after 12 months of ontime CONSECUTIVE payments or when the account closes. One late payment will start the 12 months over again.
